Hi there!
My name is Dr. Christine Berndt and I am the owner and developer of Berndt’s BioPheeD. I have always had a profound interest in soil microbiology and the interaction between plants and the soil’s microbial community known as the soil microbiome, so much so, this product was my research topic for my M.S. degree and that was 22 years ago. Just in the past 15 to 20 years has the soil microbiome been truly recognized for its vital roll in the health of our soil and the plants we grow, but also for our environment.
My career for over twenty years has been working in agriculture and horticulture. I have had the opportunity to work with various soil types and growing practices throughout the country.
My academic background includes a B.S. in Agronomy from Texas A&M, College Station, Texas; M.S. in Environmental Soil and Plant Science from West Texas A&M, Canyon, TX; and a Ph.D. from the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida with a focus on water and nutrient management in commercial potato production. I am also a Certified Crop Advisor.
